Our name and reputation are synonymous with pianos of distinction. Add to that decades of experience in rebuilding and restoring pianos, and it is easy to see why our restorations are so revered. We apply uncompromising attention to detail and meticulous craft to revive and enhance the tone and appearance of your piano, recapturing the beauty and brilliance intended by the original maker.
A time-honoured craft
Each piano restoration takes around 300 hours to complete. This painstaking process guarantees the ‘excellence’ of sound, touch and appearance that defines a Coach House restoration. For added peace of mind, we also include a certificate of ‘excellence’ on completion. This guarantees the authenticity and quality of our materials and craftsmanship, and provides a 5-year warranty against any defects.
A new journey begins
Before the rebuilding process commences, a rigorous inspection of the instrument is carried out to establish potential to become a first-class instrument again. Once the assessment has been carried out, and the instrument is deemed worthy for restoration, the exciting journey begins.
All restoration work is undertaken including valuable historical instruments, antique and period. Customers will have before and after professional pictures taken, of their priceless family heirlooms. Each client is offered a complimentary loan piano similar to the piano undergoing restoration for the duration of the works.
